Advancement is the process by which youth members of the Boy Scouts of America progress from rank to rank and is the method by which scouts are  encouraged to continue to remain involved and committed.

Exciting and meaningful activities are offered, and learning happens. In Scouting, youth learn lifeskills that will stay with them forever.  Rushing a Scout through requirements to obtain a badge or rank is never the goal.  Personal growth is.
