Troop 222 is a youth-led organization sponsored by the Valley of the Moon Lions' Club.
We focus on adventures, values, character development, leadership skills, friendship, advancement, and most of all, FUN!
We welcome girls & boys ages 11-17 years old. Please contact us to arrange a visit! We meet at First Baptist Church, 542 First Street East, Sonoma, on Thursday evenings.

What is a Family Troop?
A Family Troop is where boys and girls within the same troop participate together in meetings and outings.
What makes it different from a Sister and Brother Troop?
Sister Brother Troops are under the same unit but do everything separate. Separate patrols, separate campouts, separate meetings.
Family troops provide a sense of family, and togetherness to these scouts.
Scouting America Troop 222 has proudly served the Sonoma community for over 20 years. Originally founded as an all-boys troop, Troop 222 transitioned into an all-girls troop in 2019 when Scouting America opened its programs to girls. Today, we continue our journey as a family troop, welcoming Scouts and families while carrying on the traditions that have made our troop special for generations.
Throughout the years, Troop 222 has remained committed to leadership, outdoor adventure, service, and community involvement. One of our most famous traditions is the annual Salami Toss during Sonoma’s 4th of July celebration and Vintage Festival, a favorite community event!
Whether hiking local trails, camping under the stars, volunteering in our community, or building lifelong friendships, Troop 222 continues to help Scouts grow into confident leaders prepared for life’s adventures.
